Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production (RECP) is a preventive environmental     approach that promotes the efficient use of materials, energy, and water in industrial     processes, while reducing waste and emissions at source.

Under this project, RECP supports plastic industries in Bangladesh to improve     production efficiency, minimize resource use, and reduce environmental impacts. By     adopting cleaner production practices, industries can enhance sustainability while     maintaining competitiveness.

B.    Design for Environment (DfE) Materials

Design for Environment (DfE) is an approach that integrates environmental     considerations into product design, aiming to reduce environmental impacts     throughout the product lifecycle—from material selection and manufacturing to use     and disposal.

Under this project, DfE supports the plastic sector in Bangladesh to develop products     that use fewer resources, generate less waste, and are easier to reuse or recycle. By     improving product design, DfE contributes to reducing plastic pollution while     supporting sustainable and market-responsive production.
